Our current Continuing Education Unit (CEU) period will come to a close February 28, 2018. This two year period runs from March 1, 2016 through February 28, 2018. All Associate and Certified members are required to obtain 40 hours of professional development for each two year period. All members should be familiar with the CEU Policy.
If for any reason you will not be able to complete these CEU’s prior to the deadline, you will need to request an extension, so please click here.
Who will be called for CEU audit?
- members who do not submit the declaration form by February 28th will automatically get audited because of failure to voluntarily report;
- members who have requested a deadline extension will automatically be audited after completion;
- 10% of the entire membership (spread evenly across each branch) will be randomly selected for audit.
What will you need to provide if you’re called for audit of your hours?
In the event that you’re called to audit, you will be required to provide PACCP with a copy of your CEU Portfolio for the period. This should include proof of participation/attendance, learning plan, and activity/peer consultation logs. The CEU Journal does not need to be provided, and is meant as a tool for the members own personal use.
You will need to provide this information in electronic format by email.
What if a member has an excess of CEU credits…can there by a carry forward?
Members whose CEU totals exceed the required 40 will be given a certificate from PACCP for the extra CEUs (up to the maximum of 15 CEU’s) to put in their portfolios for the next CEU period.
